Governance of CIL payments
Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Forum (KNF) has written twice to Westminster City Council (WCC) about the use locally of substantial Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) payments from future developments.
We are concerned that WCC may give local people less say than Parish Councils and others in the use of those funds. This cannot be right or acceptable.
The KNF has also asked our councillors to ask WCC to tighten the governance arrangements for the use of CIL monies in favour of WCC’s Forums as the Government surely intended in the Localism Act.

On 20 April 2016, Westminster City Council confirmed that it is implementing a 'Westminster Community Infrastructure Levy' (CIL) taking effect on 1 May 2016. More details can be seen here:
